Someone Like Me You say, you want, but you cannot have. Oh no, oh no. He’s out of your league, but it’s not for sure. Oh no, oh no. You don’t stand a chance, why don’t you accept, Something less? He will never have, what you have, You’re in control. She’s got your hands, tied behind your back. Oh yeah, oh yeah. She’s out of your reach, but it’s not for sure. Oh yeah, oh yeah. You don’t stand a chance, why don’t you accept, Something less? Woah... She won’t give in, she’s afraid to lose, She’d rather walk away. Woah... You don’t stand a chance, why don’t you accept, What you have? She’s no better, he’s no less, You’ve been blessed. You think that I don’t have faith in you. I do, I do. It’s just, that I don’t wanna’ see you hurt. I don’t, I don’t. Woah... You don’t stand a chance, why don’t you accept? What you have? She’s no better, he’s no less, You’ve been blessed. I Don’t Wanna’ Die Alone I don't come here and expect to find, Anything more than a piece of mind. If I can't go home, 'Cause I don't wanna' die alone. It's hard enough to watch the walls, And have the nerve to screen my calls. I can't stay here, But I don't know where to go. It was you who kept me safe from harm, And you who held me all night long, But now you're gone, And I don't know where to go. I don't come here to hide from pain, Maybe I hope that they'll wash away. There's something in the tide tonight, That's saying it'll be alright. But if I can't find God, Am I gonna' die alone. It was here, I sensed the worlds collide, And wash away my pain with the tide. If I can't find God, Am I gonna' die alone? If I can't find God, Am I gonna, die alone? Am I gonna' die alone? It's hard enough to watch the walls, And have the nerve to screen my calls. If I can't find God, Am I gonna' die alone? And I don't come here and expect to find, Anything more than a piece of mind? If I can't find God, Am I gonna' die alone? It was you who kept me safe and warm. And you who held me all night long, It was here, I sensed the worlds collide, And wash away my pain with the tide. Now you're gone and I don't know where to, If I can't find God, am I gonna die alone? I Don’t Wanna’ Die Alone 2013, 2016 ℗© Virginia Traut, All Rights Reserved.

I Love You 03:35
I Love You I love you, I really need your arms around me. The sun has come up, And I love you so much! I need you, I really need your hands upon me. Keep me warm in the shade, When the sun starts to fade! I need you near, To stay right here. To keep me warm, On this cold, cold day. The leaves start to set, Come on and jump in with me. We'll climb the tree is the field, I know you know where it's at. I love you, I really need your arms around me, The sun has come up. And I love you so much. I need you, I really need your hands upon me. Keep me warm in the shade, When the sun starts to fade. I need you near, To stay right here. To keep me warm, On this cold, cold day. The leaves are all set, Come and jump in with me. Climb the tree in the field, I know you know where it's all. I love you, I really need your hands upon me. The sun has come up, And I love you so much! I love you, I really need your hands upon me, To keep me warm, On this cold,. cold day. So Sweet 03:41
So Sweet I have seen you every day, in every way. And never have I felt, Your skin so cold. Your loving eyes, They hypnotize the wall you cleverly, Walk behind. How, How very nice of you to want me, And how, how, how very sweet of you to leave me. And something's changed, It's not the same. Seem quite strange, Have you decided... To change your mind? How, How very sweet of you to want me...Now How How very nice of you to want me...Now How, How very sweet of you to want me... How How very nice of you to need me... How very sweet, of you to want me… So Sweet 2003, 2013, 2016 ℗© copyright Virginia Traut, All rights reserved.

Do You Wanna’ Get Dirty? I’m pretty sure, We’ll making love all over the floor. Can get dirty, But I’m pretty sure… No. I’ll be making love to my guitar.
Do you wanna’ get dirty? Do you wanna’ get dirty? Woah… Woah… Woah.
I wanna’ get down now. Absorb the sound now. I wanna’ get dirty. Making love to my guitar. Get found… Lost in the sound.
I wanna’ get dirty. So let’s hurry. See if we can make it that far.

No Man’s Land; The Apple of My Iris In a place like no man’s land, I’ll sit and dream of my wonderland. And inside of that wooden shoe, I’ll feed you bread and you butter too. In an orchard is where I’ll be, Picking apples from that apple tree. How does it feel to be away from home? How does it feel to be all alone? How does it feel to be floating in the air? How does it feel to be alone in there? In a place like no man’s land, I’ll sit and dream of my wonderland. And inside of that wooden shoe, I’ll feed you bread and you butter too. In an orchard is where I’ll be, Picking apples from that apple tree. How does it feel to be away from home? How does it feel to be all alone? How does it feel to be floating in the air? According To Me When we first met, we were in love, I was an older man. I couldn't understand what you saw in me, I barely had a dime. And as time went by, you were losing touch, You made clear to me. I've lived my life as a decent man, according to me. Never able to do the right thing, according to you. I gave you me, You took a piece and made something sweet. Of all our mistakes, That's the one that so innocently. Will carry part of me, Like it or not, like it or not. I've lived my life as a decent man, according to me. Never able to do the right thing, according to you. And I don't mind if the dust, the dust accumulates, I've worked really hard, does't bother me much. I'm proud of all the dirt beneath these very nails, I'm a working man, doesn't bother me much. And I don't care if you hate me now, We'll have to agree. There's a new life among us now, And she needs you and me... she needs you and me. And I don't mind if the dust, the dust accumulates, I've worked really hard, doesn't bother me much. I'm proud of all the dirt beneath these very nails, I'm a working man, doesn't bother me... Doesn't bother me. According To Me 2005, 2013, 2016 ©℗ copyright Virginia Traut, All Rights Reserved.

On Our Own 03:25
On Our Own Can we stop ourselves? From committing crimes? When it feels so good, Pleasure wins again. We persecute each other, For each and every flaw. When we know it's time, To admit to our own. So, tell me why? Why do we fall, On our own grounds? Tell me why, Why do we push, Each other down? Tell me why, Why do we fall, On our own grounds? Can you feel it getting stronger? Every day our lives get shorter? Can you feel it never among friends? On Our Own 2003, 2013, 2016 ©℗ copyright Virginia Traut, All Rights Reserved.

Better Off 03:58
Better Off People try and people fail, It’s all a part of trying. Some give up and some succeed, It’s all a part of believing. And none of this time has been a waste of time. And I appreciate the efforts all put forth. And all the enemies they subside. As I gather all my things and call it a day. I’ve come to believe there’s a greater part of me. Despite what shadow’s say, I know who I really am. I’ll keep myself safe and I’ll quiet all my mistakes. Better now, Better off, Better than I was. Better now, Better off, Better than I was. Played up and bankrupt, It’s all a part of dying. An optimist would disagree. These are the things that make us stronger. But none of this time has been a waste of time. And I appreciate the efforts all put forth. And all the enemies, they subside. As I gather all my things and call it a day. I’ve come to believe, There’s a greater part of me, That walks this life in perfect harmony. When all else fails, I’ll know which way to go. I’ll know to avoid that same old filthy road. Better now, Better off, Better than I was. Better now, Better off, Better than I was. Better now, Better off, Better than I was. People try and people fail, It’ll all a part of trying. Slamming Doors We are strong, Like never before, We don’t belong here, Like we did before. Don’t tell me, There’s nothing wrong, We just fight, to the sound of slamming doors. Aah… La da da da da la da da da, We were strong, We were strong, Like never before, We don’t belong here, Like we did before. We just fight, to the sound of slamming doors. We don’t belong here, This is nobody’s home. Aah… aah… aah... We just fight, to the sound of slamming doors. We don’t belong here, Like we did before. Don’t tell me, There’s nothing wrong. We’ll just keep fighting, 'Til nobody’s wrong. Ahh… There’s always somebody wrong. Ahh… ahh… ahh… ahh… ahh. Ahh… ahh… ahh… ahh… ahh. Ohh… La da da da da da da da da da da. We were strong. We were strong. Like never before. We don’t belong here, Like we did before. We just fight, to the sound of slamming doors. We don’t belong here, This is nobody’s home. We are strong. We are strong. Outer Space 03:16
Outer Space We both live in separate worlds. I have mine and you have yours. But when we come face to face. You label me from outer space. And you live your life in a mental cage. Only letting out your rage. But I see things deeper than you think. From behind these walls I still believe. That the destruction of your human hands. Reaching for those higher lands. That you know you’ll never make it to. Unless you start to enhance your view. ‘Cause you say God’s calling. The Devil’s grabbing. I think you’re crazy cause you’re laughing. And I can’t quite understand the thrill, You get from making people ill. Now your head’s exploding. You’re no longer laughing. I think it’s scary, but I’m laughing. And I think you realize the end is near, You can no longer find that thrill, Of making me wonder, always wonder why. You don’t just give up and die. And though we never see things eye to eye. I think we can be friends on the other side. In the world in which our minds divide. But wait no I see again. The reason why they don’t call you a man. ‘Cause you say God’s calling. The Devil’s grabbing. I think you’re crazy cause you’re laughing. And I can’t quite understand the thrill, You get from making people ill. Now your head’s exploding. You’re no longer laughing. I think it’s scary, but you’re laughing. And I think you realize the end is near, You can no longer find that thrill, Of making people ill. Of making people ill. about

So, you don't like when I tug on your heart strings? Well, now there's no excuse. This is a collective, random mashup of all my upbeat songs. The only heart strings that will be tugged on, are mine. That is, if you don't buy this album! : ) I did this for you. The listener. The fan. My mirror. I love you all so much and thank you for all the support!
